AMConf17 Showcases Global Significance of Asset Management

The IAM Asset Management Conference - the IAM's Call for Papers event - attracted leading professionals from around the world who came to share their knowledge and experiences in London on 21 and 22 November 2017.

The highlights

  • The two-day event attracted 94 speakers and 273 delegates from around the world who came together to explore multi-disciplinary approaches to asset management and network with industry experts.
  • Peter Keen CBE of Loughborough University and Helen Samuels of Network Rail delivered two keynote addresses.
  • Newly released publications, “Developing and maintaining a Strategic Asset Management Plan” and SSG 3 “Demand Analysis” were available for first purchase at the conference.
  • As the Asset Management Conference continues to evolve each year, 2017 saw the introduction of a dedicated IAM Awards-shortlisted topic stream, showcasing the detail behind the excellent nominations. The IAM Awards 2017 presentation ceremony took place on the evening of Day 1, during the IAM Annual Dinner.

After the high quality of this year’s Call for Papers, we are looking forward to next year’s submissions, and hope many of you will be inspired to submit an abstract for the opportunity to have your work formally recognised and contribute to the global future of asset management.

Presentation slides and papers from the conference are available to delegates (via instructions sent by email). After 6 months, these will be made available to IAM members, and after 12 months will be publicly available.

“A great event bringing together a high calibre of individuals from around to globe to share experiences and improve the global standard of asset management.”
