NxtGen Committee

The NxtGen Committee is responsible for the NxtGen and NxtGenPlus initiatives and is made up of a team of dedicated volunteers. The committee has been structured by responsibilities, with some committee members covering multiple responsibilities and supported by working groups where appropriate.

John Green - Committee Chair 

Role
Chairs the committee, and is accountable for the delivery of the IAM's Enduring Objectives and strategy for members, whilst maintaining alignment with central IAM activities.

Biography
John has over 12 years' asset management experience with Anglian Water, where he is currently responsible for ISO 55001/PAS 55 certifications and their Risk, Opportunity and Value process, which enables collaborative, best value asset investment decisions.

Lisbeth Concho - USA Chapter NxtGen Lead 

Role
Lead the establishment of NxtGen activity in USA Chapter that aligns with the IAM's Enduring Objectives.

Biography
Lisbeth is a consultant at WSP USA with over 11 years' experience in public, private and academic organizations. Since joining WSP, Lisbeth has worked with different agencies including the Port Authority of NY & NJ and is responsible for the development of tools to forecast life cycle costs. She previously worked as research assistant at the School of Systems & Enterprises at Stevens Institute of Technology and project delivery lead for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York where she managed, monitored and supported a variety of strategic and tactical asset management projects.

Lara Kriege - Deputy Chair

Role
Accountable for the delivery of annual NxtGen programme of activity.

Biography
Lara is an asset management consultant at KPMG with experience in the transport and retail sector, advising clients in strategic asset management and asset information challenges. Lara has been involved in asset management since the start of her Master’s degree in 2014 and has presented and published on the topic at asset management conferences.

Richard Rayson

Biography
Richard is an Asset Management Consultant with Jacobs. Having worked in operational Facilities Management roles for five years he saw the potential benefit to clients of implementing asset management approaches at strategic and operational level for businesses in all sectors. Based in Manchester, UK, he helps to arrange events in the North of England. Since commencing his involvement with the IAM, Richard has passed the IAM Certificate and presented one of his projects at the IAM Annual Conference 2017.

Tom Elner 

Role
Understand and represent the professional development needs and expectations of members' individual journeys and ensure they are reflected in the products and services offered.

Biography

 Sheng Liu 

Role
To open channels of dialogue and promote NxtGen within asset management organisations, academic organisations and other established institutes.

Biography
Sheng joined the IAM NxtGen Committee in early 2016. Sheng is an enthusiastic and energetic utility management consultant. His experience in multiple key UK infrastructures/utilities has given him a good understanding of regulated industry, infrastructure asset management and risk modelling which can be applied in other sectors. Sheng's skills cover analytics, UK Electricity Regulation, software development and asset management theory and practice.

Will Slater ​

Working mainly in the membership area and advises NxtGen Committee on all matters.

Biography
Will is an Asset Risk & Strategy Analyst at Northern Gas Networks, working in the asset-intensive, regulated gas distribution industry. During his time at Northern Gas Networks, Will has spent time leading and supporting a wide variety of projects across the asset management system, including Risk Analysis, Investment Planning and Strategic Planning. Passionate about the industry and bringing in more graduates, Will helps the NxtGen Committee develop its membership base to support the IAM moving forward.

 Matt Robertson

Role
Promote and market NxtGen activity, including communications, promotional materials and merchandise.

Biography
Matt completed a Building Surveying degree, and worked in ship management teams with the Royal Navy as a Warfare Officer. He later returned to property as a Strategic Consultant for Hampshire County Council, responsible for strategic development and management of a range of projects including asset-related business change, development of asset strategies and implementation of asset management plans. Currently Property & Facilities Manager for the Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service, Matt leads the organisation property strategy, setting strategic direction for the organisation in terms of property, estates and facilities.
