The IAM is a not for profit membership organisation that exists to advance the science and practice of asset management for the public benefit.
This page is under review following a strategic review during 2012 and we have a series of new workstreams in hand, some with partner organisations.
IAM Committees are the place where most of the primary activity of the Institute is planned, organised and delivered. A Committee is typically made up of a chairman and a number of representatives from the Members. The standing Committees may be viewed as permanent Project teams.
Projects are set up with formal Terms of Reference and a Project Director reporting to a Board Member. These may be wholly internal IAM Projects or, more usually, carried out collaboratively with one or more similar organisations and often including industry both to sponsor and also to ensure relevance.
We are developing stronger links with academic bodies to encourage their research and teaching to be relevant and current and to provide a 'shop window' for publishing the results.
