Asset Management and the ISO 55000 - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly: Perpectives from the Front Line

Join The Institute of Asset Management (IAM) New York’s spring event to network with fellow peers in the asset management community, and discuss strategies for adoption and implementation of asset management standards, including the ISO 55000 Standards.

Hear from Richard Edwards, president of The Institute of Asset Management, joined by a panel of senior leaders from public and private organizations, who will discuss how asset management standards have impacted their organizations, and how they are leveraging the latest innovations and technologies to enhance their asset management practices.

Scott Morris, associate director of global engineering at Genzyme, and vice chairman and US delegation for the development of ISO 55000, will share insights into the development of the ISO55000 Standards, highlighting key sections and benefits. 

Gary Proulx, asset strategy manager for the New York Power Authority will share his first-hand experience implementing asset management standards including the ISO55000. From overall strategy to implementation challenges, hear first-hand how the NYPA is approaching asset management.  

Subject matter expert Jim Whittaker, president and CEO of Facility Engineering Associates and member of ISO/TC 267 FM Standards committee (liaison to TC 251 - 55001 and Convenor for ISO 41001 FM MSS), will share the latest updates on the ISO 41001 requirements standard and how they relate to ISO 55001.

Following the presentations, guests are invited to join in a Q&A session with the presenters, and share their insights into asset management practices.
