Join us for this IAM Southwest Branch event, where we will be examining asset management approaches, and delivering major asset investment programmes, in infrastructure environments that demand zero tolerance for operational disruption.

With guests from The Babcock Asset Management team and our Mott MacDonald Asset Management advisory team, we will focus on key aspects of asset management capability development, drawing on lessons from defence and aviation infrastructure sectors.

The event will include a session exploring the Devonport asset management vision and roadmap for capability development, followed by a session on aviation asset management. There will be examples of intense operations requiring 100% asset system availability, introducing some central themes to be discussed:

• Asset Management Visions, and how they can be used to orientate capability improvement and asset management roadmaps
  
  
• Defining asset availability and what is meant by ‘zero tolerance’ operations
  
  
• Exploring how asset availability can be represented within in Asset Management Objectives, some useful examples of Objectives and Performance Indicators.
  
  
• Exploring how Asset Management Objectives can link to Programmes through Benefits of Outcome, as well as Operational Service Criticality.
  
  
• Setting out forms of capital programme delivery models and how they relate to operationally intense infrastructure (e.g. Waterfall, Continuous, Agile)
