Learn how to effectively prioritise investment, maintenance and inspection activity with this case study webinar. BMA developed a PoC systems model for Scottish Waters’ chlorine disinfection systems to provide analysis and quantification of:

• System resilience to component failure.
• Asset and control criticality.

The objective was to build a systems model solution for a standard disinfection system specification and three specific water treatment works (WTWs). The benefits of the model solution include a true systems approach to asset failure considering functional interdependencies and the ability to effectively inform system design, and prioritise investment, maintenance and inspection activity.

The disinfections systems model was developed with ease of scalability in mind and is directly applicable to other chemical dosing systems controlled by programmable logic controllers.
