IAM NxtGen is hosting an interactive debate discussing the IAM’s hot topics around Resilience and Decarbonisation. Bentley Systems Academy will be hosting attendees at their Academy in London. This event will be a great opportunity to learn more about Asset Management, Resilience and Decarbonisation as well as network with other individuals working in Asset Management.

The potential questions that will be debated are:

Resilience

• Is redundancy a critical component to resilience?
• Do the effects of climate change need to be considered in resilience and contingency planning?

Decarbonisation

• Should technology be the primary driver in helping the UK to decarbonise by 2040?
• Which is a more effective method to help the UK decarbonise by 2040; regulatory pressure through penalties or subsiding renewal energy production and use?
• Can Smart cities achieve self-sufficiency from renewable energy only?

Following the debate, there will be refreshments and a networking session.
