The North West branch committee invite you to attend our first face to face event of 2026 in Manchester. Kindly hosted by Arup in their Piccadilly offices, the event will give you the opportunity to physically experience the cutting-edge innovation of their Sound lab, before hearing expert speakers on Cybersecurity and Circular Economy. Afterwards you’ll be able to grow your network – meeting other asset management professionals from the region. I’m really looking forward to this even and look forward to seeing you there” Si Cain - NW Branch Chair.
SoundLab is an innovative virtual listening environment that allows clients, designers, and stakeholders to experience both new and existing sound environments. SoundLab has been used on a wide range of arts and culture venues, buildings, and major infrastructure projects, shaping design and informing key stakeholders.
This practical demonstration of its capabilities will give you an immersive experience in how sound behaves within different spaces, how design choices influence acoustic performance, and how SoundLab can support better-informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll have the opportunity to explore contrasting acoustic scenarios, compare design options in real time, and understand how SoundLab can de‑risk projects by making acoustics tangible, intuitive, and accessible to all audiences.
Closing the Loop: From the North West to the Global Stage
Tired of the "take-make-waste" routine? It’s time to rethink how we build, buy, and borrow. Join us for an inspiring talk on Implementing the Circular Economy, where we’ll explore how shifting from a linear model to a circular one isn't just a "nice-to-have", it’s the future of resilient business and sustainable living.
Navigating the New Digital Frontier: The Cyber Security and Resilience Bill
Is your organisation ready for the most significant shift in UK cyber law in nearly a decade? As the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill moves through Parliament, Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) owners, including those in energy, water, transport, and health, face a transformed regulatory landscape. This
session deciphers the official GOV.UK mandates, moving beyond the 2018 NIS Regulations to address the sophisticated threats of 2026. We’ll dive into the critical role that asset managers play in supporting cyber security for the assets under their responsibility.
