Presentation: Recap of NxtGen 2026 activities and plan ahead

Katty will provide a recap of USA NxtGen’s 2026 activities, highlighting key milestones achieved over the past year, the continued growth and engagement of the NxtGen committee, and the progress made in advancing NxtGen priorities. The presentation will also showcase how the committee has supported the next generation of asset management professionals through high-energy webinars, targeted outreach, and collaborative initiatives designed to build connections, share practical knowledge, and strengthen participation across the IAM community.

2. IAM Announcements: (10 min)– Margaret Gadzic, Great Lakes Co-Chair
   • Volunteering on SSG committees – remind attendees to look out for emails from IAM
   • SSGs released so far in 2026. Supply Chain and Asset Creation and Acquisition (Jan 2026) and AM Leadership and Outcomes/Impacts (March 2026)
   • Feedback on USA IAM Branch Meeting from Attendees (June 17 with GLWA LSIP program presentation)
   • IAM North America Conference 2026 – Convergence: Connecting People, Data, and Assets. Includes Operations Track in partnership with SMRP. Organizational track, Innovation track. Early bird and discounted hotel rates ended July 31. Who is planning to attend – Laith, GLWA will be represented. Conference is held Oct 5-7 in Toronto.
     
     
3. Academia Committee Update: (5 min) – Margaret Gadzic in lieu of Mark DeClerq.
   
   
4. SMRP Announcements: (5 min) – Earl Hill, Wisconsin Chapter Chair. The IAM and SMRP have reciprocal memberships. Earl will highlight any upcoming events/webinars.
