Diana Sánchez
Dr. Diana Sánchez currently works within AtkinsRéalis Transportation Team in UK as a Pavement Engineer. She obtained her PhD from The University of Nottingham, UK. Previously, she obtained her MSc in Civil Engineering and BSc in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), where she also worked as a Senior Researcher and Pavement Engineering Lecturer. She is an active member of the Pavements Technical Committee of PIARC and the Standing Committees on Binders for Flexible Pavement and Asphalt mixtures from the Transportation Research Board (USA). Her area of expertise includes characterization of low carbon technologies for paving applications, pavement design, rehabilitation, and maintenance strategies.
Anthony Parry
Tony has 40 years’ research and consultancy experience, the last 30 in road pavement engineering. He worked as a Research Assistant while completing his PhD and then entered research consultancy at TRL Ltd where he led work leading to UK road surface skidding resistance standards, and sustainability assessment of pavement engineering. In 2005, he joined the University of Nottingham where his research included novel skid resistance and road safety assessment methods and developing carbon footprint methodologies for roads, alongside teaching sustainable construction and highway design. He has worked at AtkinsRéalis since 2022 in the Asset Management: Pavements team, on net zero and climate resilience projects for National Highways, Transport Scotland and local highway authorities.
Zahraa Kadri
Zahraa is a Principal Asset Management Consultant for Arcadis and an award-winning Chartered Mathematician with over 10 years’ experience across the transportation and infrastructure sectors within engineering consultancy. She has extensive experience of asset valuations, decision support tools, data analytics and customer insights. Zahraa is a member of PIARC (World Roads Association) Asset Management Technical Committee for the cycle 2024-2027, her second cycle. In this role, she is working closely with key members from global organisations in collating best practice on aging infrastructure in the road sector. She contributed to the development of the new standard ISO 55013 “Asset Management – Guidance on data for asset management” and is IAM certified. Zahraa was recognised as one of the top Twenty Women in Data and Tech UK for 2020.
