Survey Grade vs. Good Enough: Choosing an Asset Data Collection Approach That Fits the Budget

How accurate does asset data really need to be—and when is “good enough” the smarter investment? Join the IAM Austin Branch in its 9^th meeting for a practical discussion on selecting a data collection approach that balances accuracy, usability, risk and cost.

WSB experts Bryan Pittman, Deven Rohrer, Jared Langley and Emily Williams will draw on their experience across GIS, surveying, LiDAR, remote sensing and asset management to explore the range of available approaches and the trade-offs involved. Attendees will learn how to align data quality with the decisions it needs to support, avoid paying for unnecessary precision and develop a fit-for-purpose approach to infrastructure asset data.
