Ian Gray

As an advisory consultant Ian leads strategic pieces of work to help clients deal with the most challenging aspects of their business. This is built from over 30 years’ experience in large multi-sector commercial, environmental and engineering consultancies following several years in a power sector design and construct contracting company. Ian has a breadth of international experience and a broad range of roles in consultancy, he has the ability to operate at senior level within the business and provide strategic advice to clients. Key sectors worked in across the world include water, light rail, highways, ports, waste, defence, central government and agencies.

Jim Fitzgerald

CEng FIEI

With over 30 years of diverse experience in the Water industry both in Ireland and internationally, Jim has developed an array of experience in Engineering, Management and the many aspects of Asset Management.

Jim is one of the Irish Water’s (IW) Asset Operations Service Level Agreement (SLA) Leads for the Southern Region which has over 50% of Irish Water assets. His role includes the oversight of the effective provision of operational services on water and wastewater assets in the Southern Region in line with the Annual Service Plans.

Jim worked on the IW programme for the establishment of the organisation and continues to take a leading role in continuous improvement projects such as the standardisation of statutory inspections and energy management.

 

Prior to the establishment of IW, Jim was Engineering Manager for Engineering Consultants, Ryan Hanley, White Young Green International Director and White Young Green Ireland’s Director with responsibility for Water, Waste Water & Flooding scheme projects. Jim has broad experience working in Consultancy & Engineering Contracting on the delivery of assets for the Water Industry including Main Drainage Schemes in Cork, Limerick, Waterford and a number of regional towns.

Jim is a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (University College Cork, Ireland) and is Fellow of Engineers Ireland.”
