Join us for the IAM New York & New Jersey Quarterly Meeting

This meeting will reconvene the IAM New York & New Jersey Branch. The meeting will include a thematic presentation and discussion around “Resiliency in Practice” and general topics and needs for upcoming branch events.

Theme: Resiliency in Practice

The presentation will open with representatives from Jacobs who will provide an overview of industry trends and challenges in incorporating resiliency efforts into asset management.

This opening will be followed by a presentation recently given at the IAM North American Conference:  “Asset Management and Climate Risk:  PANYNJ’s Climate Risk Assessment (CRA) Program.” This presentation will focus on the key elements of PANYNJ’s CRA. As part of the CRA, an engineering-grade risk assessment is being conducted for each facility, including asset data collection following EAM standards, constructing system hierarchies, building interdependency diagrams, and connecting key performance indicators. Common barriers will be discussed, such as dealing with discrete and linear assets. The CRA focuses on climate impacts due to both flooding and heat, with detailed flood modeling conducted for each facility incorporating state-of-the-science information on projected sea level rise and increasing rainfall impacts.

The presentation team will guide discussion around current efforts and challenges taking place at branch members’ organizations.
