The Institute of Asset Management North America Conference 2023 is taking place in Toronto, Canada, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from 23-25 October. The conference provides the opportunity for our asset management community to engage with speakers, delegates, and exhibitors about the latest development in asset management.  The conference theme for 2023 is Asset Management in a Changing World. 

Asset Management in a Changing World 

We live in a changing world, and our approach to asset management must change to take advantage of technological progress, adapt to climate challenges, and address social and economic futures. 

The "Asset Management in a Changing World" conference aims to bring together industry professionals and experts to discuss the current state of asset management and its future trajectory in light of rapidly evolving socio-economic, technological, and climate conditions. The conference will feature keynote speeches, interactive panel discussions, and case studies from leading practitioners in the field. We will explore topics such as innovative investment and prioritization strategies, the integration of sustainable and ESG practices, the impact of new technologies such as AI and IOT on asset management, and climate change. The conference will provide valuable insights and practical tools for asset managers seeking to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the changing world. 

Conference Tracks: 

• Climate Change 

• The focus is on the challenges and opportunities facing asset managers as they strive to align their investment portfolios with the goals of mitigating and adapting assets to climate change. 

• Social and Economic Change 

• The focus is on the impact of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investing and our approaches to Asset Management. The role of government and regulatory bodies in shaping the asset management landscape and how we can involve our communities in Asset Management decision-making. 

• Technological Change 

• The focus is on the impact of technological advancements and innovation on asset management, including adopting new technologies, such as specialist software and tools and artificial intelligence, and their role in supporting infrastructure investment decisions. 

Join us in Toronto to share your knowledge and experiences with hundreds of asset management professionals from North America and beyond. 

Speakers will be selected from submitted abstracts with a selection panel ensuring we present a diverse range of views, thought leadership, and best practices creating a unique learning and sharing experience for delegates.  
 

IAM North American Awards 2023

The IAM North American Awards 2023 acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding work done by asset management professionals, organizations and teams across North America. Commitment, quality and foresight are vital to the success of asset management – along with innovation, adaptation and social awareness.

These awards are an opportunity for you to showcase the excellent work you’re doing, wherever you are, and whichever industry sector you operate in. By submitting your leading examples of good asset management practice, it’s a chance for you to celebrate your successes and share them with a wider network across the professional landscape.

What is Included in my Conference Ticket? 
 
Day one (23 October) of the conference will start with conference registration, followed by a drinks reception that opens at 17:00.  This drinks reception will enable delegates to network and meet conference attendees in an informal environment before the main sessions start. 

On days two (24 October) and three (25 October), delegates will hear from keynote speakers and will be able to choose from three streams – climate change, social and economic change, and technological change.  Our speakers will share knowledge and insight from a wide range of professional backgrounds.  A full-day program will be available to delegates on both days. 

On the evening of day two (24 October), there will be a gala conference dinner during which we will celebrate the North American IAM Excellence Awards 2023. The winners of these awards will be announced at this gala dinner. It will be an excellent opportunity for you to celebrate with conference delegates and colleagues the advances in asset management made by individuals and organizations across North America.  More information on how to submit an award entry will be announced soon. 

During the entire conference, there will also be opportunities to interact with exhibitors about the latest development in asset management. 

In addition to the drinks reception on day one and the gala dinner on day two, your conference ticket also includes breakfast and lunch on days two and three and refreshments throughout the conference.
