This session addresses the intersection of maintenance/reliability with asset management.  It is based on a whitepaper, 'Managing Assets in the Context of Asset Management,' which is a best-selling publication from ISO TC251, the committee responsible for the ISO 55000 Standard for Asset Management. 

This paper has been used as a focus for many meetings and discussions on asset management by IAM Chapters and Branches and member organizations. The presentation will describe the origin and concept of this topic and illustrate how it can be used in any organization to further discussions on asset management.

The presenter for this session is: Thomas Smith, one of the authors of this ISO Technical Paper as well as a Fellow of the IAM and one of the Directors of the IAM/USA.
