Infrastructure Data & Information management
Effective information is increasingly important for us to become more effective in designing, constructing, operating and maintaining our assets.
Adequate Information Management is particularly relevant to those creating and managing digital twins. Organizations and projects realize that data (and the information created from data) is a valuable resource that must be effectively managed, to not only improve performance and productivity but also to enable better decision-making and reduce loss of data and security risks.
This session examines problems arising from examples of poor information management of the lifecycle of an asset. We start with basics and identify critical elements and the 'DNA' of asset data structures, along with best practices for storing large volumes of related data that build up on projects over time and the handover of critical information for lifecycle management. We then explore how a data management strategy is created and the steps to ensure it will be successful.
