Cross-boundary integration is one of the defining challenges of modern infrastructure. Whether green, blue, or grey infrastructure, today's systems are under pressure from climate change, rapid population growth, technological disruption, and rising interdependence. These forces expose the limits of organization-centric thinking, yet achieving effective cross-boundary outcomes remains notoriously difficult. This webinar introduces the IAM’s Cross-Boundary Integration initiative, a global effort to help practitioners, policymakers, and partners see the “bigger picture”, understand the barriers, and apply practical approaches for working across organizations, sectors, and geographies. Join us to explore how better integration can unlock shared, long-term value for people, places, and the planet.

Jerry Holdsworth
Jerry Holdsworth is an IAM Fellow, registered AMP, experienced utility professional, and long-standing IAM volunteer. He was a Founding Director of the IAM UK, served as Technical Chair, and in parallel Chair of Global Patrons. Jerry has played a leading role in shaping key guidance across the IAM's knowledge base. He led the development of SAM2025, SAM+ and SAM; contributed to several SSGs; and worked with the AM Council Australia on the second editions of the AM Landscape and IAM Anatomy. Jerry is currently leading the update of the Pathway to Excellence in Asset Management and the Cross-Boundary Integration initiative, as well as supporting the IAM Chartership Programme. With 40 years of experience spanning asset ownership and consultancy, Jerry is now Owner and Director of Morlan Group Limited, a consultancy specializing in transformational and educational asset management services.
Steve Whitla
Steve Whitla is the founder and CEO of Visual Meaning Ltd, a company that specialises in creating shared meaning across organisational and cultural boundaries about complex and systemic challenges. Based in Oxford UK, he has worked with hundreds of clients around the world, as well as leading the project to produce the IAM's original "Big Picture” materials ten years ago. He is a regular speaker at conferences and co-author of Visualising Business Transformation (Routledge, 2020)
Kimmy Bailey
Kimmy Bailey is Head of the Project Delivery Team at Visual Meaning, a role she's held for five years. With a background in Econometrics and Operations Research, she's built her career across the charity, consulting, and internal strategy sectors, developing a strong facilitation practice along the way. She's drawn to the variety this brings, applying those skills to a wide range of problem spaces and teams.
