London & Southeast Autumn Branch Meeting.

Topic Summary

The branch meeting aims to provide an opportunity for networking with like-minded asset management practitioners, talking about the leading trends and showcasing some asset management projects.

For the Autumn branch meeting, we have the honour to have PhD student Samer Muhandes from Imperial College London to share a case about system thinking and decision-making in a complex environment such as an asset-intensive organisation.

Another key speaker Jon Clyne from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will talk about the challenge of asset management from a regulator’s perspective. He will also cover the impact of the pandemic on the airport’s asset investment decisions. 

Joanne Parkes (Head of Asset Management, HS1) will join by Joe Inniss to present ‘HS1 – responding to uncertainty through asset management’.

Finally, IAM NxtGen committee member Gregory Mansfield will present about NxtGen and their work with the IAM. Early career professionals will find the introduction useful and hopefully be inspired to consider Asset Management as part of their career development.
