This collaborative event will provide insight into the Institute of Asset Management & its young professional group (NxtGen), the Chartered Institute of Highways & Transport Emerging Professionals (CIHT EPC) & Worlds Roads Association, Young Professional Group (PIARC YPC). There will also be an opportunity to engage in one-to-one conversations with Asset Management professionals during networking

Dr. Lilian Iheukwumere-Esotu
(CEng,PhD) – National Gas & IAM NxtGenLilian is a committee member of the Institute of Asset Management NextGen UK. She obtained a global talent endorsement as an exceptional leader in Engineering Asset Management, from the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK. She currently, works as an Asset Lifecycle Lead at National Gas, Metering, where she has the responsibilities for ensuring that the entire population of gas metering installations, including associated components are managed safely and effectively for their entire lifecycle, with a sustainable approach. She also has responsibilities for ensuring that National Gas Metering (NGM) continuously improve its Asset Management system in-line with the guidelines set out within ISO 55001.
Zoe Smith
Transport for West Midlands & CIHT EPCZoe is a EngTech qualified member of CIHT and a Chartered Geographer with 15 years’ experience working in both public and private sectors in multi-disciplinary teams in the UK and the Middle East. Currently the Transport Data Lead at West Midlands Combined Authority providing technical leadership and system expertise to develop new solutions and introduce data-led approaches to projects, including Asset Management. Starting as an Apprentice Civil Engineer, she used the opportunity to work in different functional teams to gain an appreciation and understanding of management, delivery and operational needs for asset delivery and lifecycle management.
Zahraa Kadri
Arcadis & PIARC YPCZahraa has over 10 years’ experience across the transportation and infrastructure sectors with extensive experience of asset valuations, decision support tools, data analytics and customer insights in the transport sector. She is on her second cycle representing the UK as a Young Professional member of PIARC on the Technical Committee 3.3 Asset Management. Currently, she is part of two working groups; aging infrastructure and innovative technologies in asset management. She is Chair of the PIARC UK Emerging Professionals Network and is passionate about progression of young professionals in the road sector. Zahraa has contributed to the development of new ISO standard ISO 55013 Guidance on data in asset management. She is an award-winning Chartered Mathematician and was recognised as top Twenty Women in Data and Tech UK in 2020 for her work on data analysis road user safety.
Stephen Morgan
Amey & IAM NxtGenStephen is a Principal Asset Management Consultant at Amey. He has worked within Asset Management for over seven years specialising within Highways and Renewable Energy. Stephen helps organisations make informed, strategic decisions about getting value from their assets. He has completed both the IAM’s Certificate and Diploma exams and is passionate about inspiring and engaging with those new to Asset Management. Stephen is the current UK NxtGen Co-Chair, a IAM Exam Board Member representing young professionals and a member of the IAM’s Midlands regional committee. He is passionate about the industry and growing its Young Professionals presence.
