Laith Alfaqih, Principal – North America Asset Management Lead, Stantec
Dr. Laith, a results-oriented professional engineer with over 22 years of experience, serves as a Principal and North America Asset Management Lead at Stantec. His expertise in asset management spans across diverse industries, including facilities, water, wastewater, transportation, aviation, and energy. As a visionary leader, he consistently delivers complex projects on time and within budget, inspiring and motivating teams to achieve their best work. He is committed to fostering collaborative and inclusive environments where everyone can thrive. With a strategic mind-set, Dr. Laith continuously seeks process improvements and better outcomes for his clients. He champions inter-professional collaboration to achieve common goals and has a proven track record of implementing asset management principles and practices that align with the culture, maturity, and growth strategies of his clients. He has guided organizations at all stages of their asset management journey, from inception to refinement. He is a published author and contributor to the asset management knowledge base, frequently sharing his expertise at industry events.
Jarvis Gully, Plants Maintenance Manager, Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department
Jarvis Gulley is the Maintenance Manager at Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD), bringing over 23 years of experience in Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation. For the past 15 years, he has dedicated his expertise to Water and Wastewater Operations and Maintenance, helping ensure the delivery of clean, reliable drinking water to the community.
Jarvis began his career with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), where he gained a strong foundation in the installation, operation, and maintenance of industrial equipment. At PBCWUD, he advanced through key roles, including Instrumentation Technician and Plant Maintenance Supervisor. During this time, he played a pivotal role in the implementation of the Utility’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and its successful ISO 55001 certification.
He holds multiple professional credentials, including State of Florida Licensed Electrical Contractor, Certified Control Systems Technician, and Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Certification. He also earned an Associate of Science in Industrial Management from Palm Beach State College.
Jarvis is committed to continuous growth—as a leader, a teacher, and most importantly, a lifelong student. His dedication to the craft and passion for service continue to shape a promising future in the water and wastewater industry.
