Workshop Description
With competing pressures for resources, aging infrastructure, and the desire to be strong stewards of an organization’s assets, effective asset management is more critical than ever. Almost every organization is doing some aspect of asset management, but how do you assess your performance and develop detailed roadmaps to improve?
This workshop will provide an overview of asset management maturity assessment tools and uses, feature speakers from two organizations who will share real-world examples of evaluating their asset management program maturity and utilizing a gap assessment to develop actionable strategies to advance.
An asset management self-assessment and tabletop exercises will be utilized throughout the workshop to provide attendees with practical, ready-to-use ideas and practices they can take back to their organization to advance their asset management practices and outcomes from any state of maturity.
Workshop Objectives
1. Equip participants with practical strategies to optimize their asset management programs.
2. Explore case studies to illustrate successful asset management advancement techniques.
3. Provide hands-on exercises and interactive sessions for participants to apply their learning.
Workshop Agenda
1. Introduction to asset management maturity assessment tools and uses
2. Case studies illustrating how 2 organizations used maturity assessments for advancement
3. Participants complete a high-level self-assessment of their organization’s current and desired asset management program maturity
4. Interactive exercises and group discussions using assessment outcomes to develop specific
actions and strategies an organization can take to advance in their asset management maturity
