The Institute of Asset Management is delighted to launch Subject Specific Guideline - Supply Chain Management.
This document provides guidance on Supply Chain Management (SCM) within the context of asset management strategy and planning. It emphasizes that effective SCM is critical for achieving organizational objectives, ensuring resilience, and delivering long-term value. It is part of a broader series of practical guidelines designed to support professionals applying asset management across geographies and sectors.
This SSG is ideal for anyone involved in any part of the supply chain. It covers key principles of supply chain management, the roles individuals might undertake and the processes they may follow, the importance of developing and maintaining a supply chain management strategy, value realization, ethical and sustainable practices, management of external constraints, stakeholder management, contacts and tenders, resilience in the supply chain, logistical considerations and information management.
