Andy Jinks Appointed IAM Deputy President
The Institute of Asset Management is delighted to announce the appointment of Andy Jinks as IAM Deputy President.
Andy has been actively engaged with the IAM since 2006 and was appointed to the IAM Board in 2015, having been elected for his passion for professionalizing and growing wider awareness of the practice of Asset Management to support both individual and corporate capability.
During his Board tenure, Andy has contributed to the IAM by supporting the development of the Asset Management Professional registration and plays a critical role in guiding our Institute decisions, helping stabilize and modernize the IAM to make our identity, knowledge, and thought leadership accessible to an ever-growing audience. He now chairs the IAM Finance Committee. Through his long association with the IAM, he is a champion of the role of asset owners and is a strong supporter of the IAM Patrons.
Andy has a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of asset management. He is currently a Regional Director for a UK government-owned infrastructure client, accountable for operating and managing a complex asset base spanning over 3000 km of some of the busiest parts of the UK’s highway network. Prior to his current position, he led London Underground to achieve ISO55000 certification, which, at the time, was only the second rail industry sector body to achieve this accolade. With his proven track record, he knows the importance that good asset management has on delivering high levels of customer service, and he is extremely well-positioned to contribute significantly to the continued success and growth of the Institute.
IAM President Christian Roberts said, ‘Andy Jinks’ appointment as Deputy President comes at an important time for the IAM as we celebrate 30 years of what we have achieved and look to the future. Andy’s passion for asset management and his commitment to professionalizing the discipline will enable the IAM to continue to grow and flourish.’
Andy said ‘It is an honor to be appointed as Deputy President of the Institute. In my new role, I look forward to working alongside Christian Roberts, IAM President, with people across our global community to collectively move our profession forward.’
Andy will succeed Christian as President in September 2024 at the IAM AGM.
