At the weekend, members of the IAM DE met for a working meeting in Erfurt. The main topics were the redesign of the conference, the concretization of the professional work, the planning for 2020/21 and the acquisition of new members.

The IAM is delighted to announce that Ursula Bryan has become our new President, taking over the mantle from Chris Newsome, who retires following his two-year tenure. Ursula steps up into the role as the IAM celebrates its 25th Anniversary and looks forward to the next phase in our development.

IAM Members were able to participate in the Spring’s Member Survey that asked for their opinions about how the IAM was serving their needs. Some of the highlights are presented here.

We are currently not accepting new applications for Affiliate members and we have recently contacted all our existing Affiliate members, encouraging them to upgrade to one of our paid membership grades...

During the past 25 year's, the IAM has become an international organisation, supporting asset managers world-wide thanks to the help of volunteers who support each of our Chapters and branches, and we look forward to opening further Chapters in the future and welcoming a range of new members.

David McKeown, Chief Executive, has chosen to step down after more than 10 years in the role, as the Institute approaches its 25th anniversary. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Kirsten Bodley as CEO Designate with effect from 8 October, taking over as Chief Executive on 4 February 2019.
