Topic/ Summary:
Transportation Asset Management Plans (TAMPs) are required from all States (State Departments of Transportation) in the U.S. this year. This is a huge undertaking for states and involves planning for billions of dollars in investment in road transportation networks over the next ten years. Our speakers, Charles Pilson and Caroline Dickey will lead a discussion across all topics under the IAM Conceptual model, in real terms, as it relates to this effort.
What is a Transportation Asset Management Plan (TAMP)?
Every agency must develop a comprehensive plan if it owns, operates, or manages capital assets used to provide public transportation and receives federal financial assistance under 49 U.S.C. Chapter 53 as a recipient or subrecipient.
Each TAM plan should:
• Outline how people, processes, and tools come together to address asset management policy and goals
• Provide accountability and visibility for furthering understanding of leveraging asset management practices
• Support planning, budgeting, and communications to internal and external stakeholders
Agenda:
- Welcome & Intro of Speakers
