IAM Foundation Award now available online
The Institute of Asset Management (IAM) is delighted to announce the launch of a new online platform for their Foundation Award – an introductory asset management awareness training course. The launch comes in light of the growing demand for online personal development in response to the ongoing COVID-19 measures affecting individual’s normal working lives.
The new online platform will allow candidates to complete the popular IAM Foundation Award at a time when face to face training provided by our Endorsed Training Providers is suspended. Candidates are able to complete the Foundation Award from home, at a time and pace that suits them.
The IAM Foundation Award is aimed at individuals and organisations who want to create an awareness of the basic asset management principles and practices necessary for ISO55000 certification – the standard that sets best practices in many industries for the realisation of value through effective management of assets.
Andy Watts, IAM Managing Director, says “The IAM Foundation Award is ideal for those new to, or working close to those who work in asset management.
"We are seeing many organisations use the Foundation Award to create a common language for asset management and a base level of understanding across all areas of their organisation.
"The IAM is very pleased to launch this online personal development opportunity, both as a response to the COVID-19 impact and as a part of 2020 plan to offer more digital services and support our aim to promote and disseminate asset management best practice.”
